9 May 2008 - Change to Open Water Swim Training Venue
We will be using a new Open water Swim venue commencing Wednesday 14th May 7pm-8pm after failing to resolve a number of issues with the Delph Diving centre.
The new venue is Rock and River Outdoor Pursuits, Cliffs Farm Activity Centre, Mawdesley, Lancashire,L40 2RL www.rockandriver.co.uk for directions.
The cost will be £5.00 per swim session, and the structured sessions will be coached by BTF level 3 coaches. Please go to http://thebasecamps.com/downloads/openwaterscreening.pdf to download a Medical form which must be completed and taken to your first session.
A cafeteria is on hand for drinks/snacks before and after the swim.
This venue is particularly good as a transition from pool to open water swimming as it is approx 1.5m/ 5 feet deep throughout, therefore the water is warmer and not as daunting!
Dont forget, wetsuit required!
