24 Feb 2006 - TTW at Wigan Sports Awards

TTW were delighted to be awarded the runners' up prize at the Wigan Sports Awards last night. Louise attended in the absence of Fiona, Cathy and Dave and was really pleased to pick up the award in some very impressive company. As a relatively new club with a small but growing membership we were only beaten by one of the biggest Rugby League Clubs in the country, with 500 members and 50 active volunteers, who have recntly won funding worth £1.1m. Our club has grown from being a few juniors wanting to add running to their swimming training, to an adult and junior club, providing coaching and training in all three disciplines. Well done to all involved in the club, not least the members, for making it such a success.
